The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently revised the wage determinations for Residential Weatherization Workers for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. However, CAAs should wait to implement the revised wage determination until the U.S. Department of Energy has amended its Weatherization Assistance Program ARRA grant agreement with their state and the state has in turn amended its contract with the CAA.

Job Reporting Update for Head Start Grantees
Job reporting update for Head Start grantees receiving COLA increases under ARRA – November 18, 2009
Recent guidance from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services informs Head Start and Early Head Start grantees who receive Cost of Living Increases (COLA) under ARRA that the use of these funds will no longer be reported as jobs retained. An Office of Management and Budget (OMB) FAQ on reporting makes it clear that COLAs should not be counted as jobs retained.

Employers Must Update Required EEOC Posting

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has released an update to its required "Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law" posting. The new version reflects current federal employment discrimination law, including information regarding the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) and ADA Amendments Act regulations. The revised poster also includes updates from the U.S. Department of Labor.
The EEOC posting update is mandatory for all covered employers and can be downloaded at the EEOC's Web site: www.eeoc.gov/posterform.html.
